Network Applications
Detective can be installed on the file server and operated in batch mode. This will simultaneously scan network workstations and save results on the network server for easy retrieval by the system administrator. It can also automatically perform the scan according to preset parameters, providing either a separate report for each workstation or only one file, summary.log, which is appended each day.

With the ability to retrospectively examine system activity, DETECTIVE can reconstruct the history of the machine and present a log of past actions for inspection. This can be accomplished with Internet downloaded content even if the Temporary Internet Folder and Browser History have been deleted (in most cases)!

You can see the images contained on the system in a slide show format, displaying them at user defined intervals.

Pre-defined keyword lists are contained which enable the user to quickly search for adult content, pirated software, or evidence of hacking. The user can also enter user-defined keyword profiles to address specific concerns.

Detective has intelligent search capabilities which are far superior to the Internet blocking programs currently available. It can test for search strings which, when recognized, can be placed within the context of the surrounding sentence. This sophistication allows Detective to show only the files that are directly relevant to the search parameters.
